Badoit was already liked at ancient times, but it was forgotten until the start of the 18th century, that Saint- Galmier’s natural mineral waters were discovered again. It was at the time when medical hydrology was starting to come to the forefront and doctors became interested in the benefits of the spring.

It is underground on the Forez plain, at the heart of the Massif Central, that the Badoit miracle takes place: the pure water is combined with gas and starts a long underground journey through a granite rock.
